Gamma Phi takes Disneyland
Over the past weekend as a sisterhood event my Gamma Phi Beta Sisters and I went to Disneyland. We drive over night spend the day in Disneyland and then drive back all night! It is a very fun experience to do with a big group of girls. There were so many of us every ride we went on one of the workers said is there a lot of you here I keep seeing your matching jackets! My favorite part was seeing CarsLand. It looks just like what was in the movie Cars!

What I Study
I am a senior at the University of Arizona! I am double majoring in Psychology and Sociology then double minoring in Communications and Adolescents, Community and Education.
In high school I enjoyed learning about Psychology I had a teacher that worked with prisoners and was a psychologist in jails. It sounded so interesting but most people who do that get burnt out because it is so intense working with prisoners. I have always been into helping others and knowing why people thinks the way they do. Psychology is studying individual human behavior usually focusing on their brain function and why people do the things they do. Sociology is the study of human behavior by studying population. In Sociology you look at how someone interacts and plays a social role in their society. My favorite classes for sociology were the gender and sexuality classes.
Communications is the studying how we interact with others through thoughts, messages or information. Communications I just started this semester and I don't know that I like it yet but I am in public speaking and argumentation class when I am a very quiet person. ACE minor is a new minor at the University of Arizona that I am taking this semester The ACE minor stands for Adolescents, Community and Education. The university combined different classes from Educational Leadership, Educational Psychology, Higher Education, Language Reading and Culture, Special Education, Rehabilitation and School Psychology and Teaching and teacher education. This minor helps students to look at the challenges and advantages or working with children in the classroom. So far I really enjoy this new minor I am in the online class teaching with new technologies and I am in a intro the learning disabilities class.

Mission Beach
I absolutely love Mission Beach, San Diego. Mission Beach is where I travel in the summer with my family. I enjoy going to Mission Beach because I am familiar with it. I have gone with my family since I was about 12 every summer. It has become a tradition. We go to Mission usually the last two weeks of July or the beginning of August. My mom will not travel anywhere else except Mission Beach because she loves it so much. We rent a small beach house and just relax with the beautiful weather that California has to offer. The best thing to do when you at the beach is go and relax on the beach. Mission beach has a young atmosphere with lots of young adults that live there most of the year.
Mission Beach has a great frozen yogurt. Going to get yogurt is a must after where ever you eat dinner. Bogart's yogurt is the best frozen yogurt and its a must when I am in San Diego. According to serious eats .com Bogarts Yogurt is one of the top five yogurt places to go in San Diego... " Bogart Yogurt: Bogart Yogurt, an
indie shop located in Pacific Beach, offers 10 flavors of frozen yogurt (including two "Carbolite" options that are sugar-free, low dairy, and only 8 calories an ounce). Flavors rotate regularly and include seasonal specials, like pumpkin in the fall. Toppings are 55¢ to 65¢ extra, but are generously portioned, so one is often enough. The $2 small is an excellent value that is big enough to satisfy even my most serious cravings. Try mint and chocolate frozen yogurt topped with Andes mints or hot fudge sauce and whipped cream for a sundae-inspired treat. Fresh-baked cookies and smoothies are also available"

Gamma Phi Beta
I
am in the sorority Gamma Phi Beta at the University of Arizona being involved
is very important to me!Our sorority house is pink and better known as the
"pink palace". I live in my sorority house and I enjoy spending
time with all the other girls that are involved in Gamma Phi. Living in is a
great way to be involved because you always know what activities are going on
and you are so close to campus. It is great to have a free parking spot and
just walk to class and drive a short distance to work. I am a senior and live
in the senior hall. I have three roommates so we live a "fourman". A
lot of people find it strange that we sleep in a sleeping porch but I have
gotten so use to it, I wouldn't have it any other way! I don't love sleeping in
a bunk bed but having the convenience to take a nap in a dark cold room at anytime
of the day is a great. We have tons of activities that we are
involved in on campus. We have two philanthropies a year that we raise money
for Campfire USA. We have Spagammi where we invite all of the University of
Arizona and the Tucson community to come and enjoy spaghetti. Spagammi is also
coming up November 3rd from 10 pm until 2 am. You can get endless
delicious spaghetti made by are chef. It a great to meet the community and bond
as sisters. Our second philanthropy is in the spring and it is Gamma Phi Beta
Kickball. All the girls pair up and make groups of 8 people to participate in a
kickball competition. We also participate in all the other sorority and
fraternity philanthropies.
